Embracing the spirit of togetherness, way back 2001 a team of staff from Kenya Women Finance Trust (currently Kenya Women Microfinance Bank) conceived the idea and formed a SACCO that would enable them advance their personal development agenda as a team. The SACCO continues to draw its membership countrywide from Kenya Women Holding and Kenya Women Microfinance Bank and its subsidiaries.
The name UAMINIFU is a Swahili word meaning trustworthy a virtue that the SACCO upholds dearly by ensuring transparency in its dealings to safeguard the members’ funds to maintain their confidence.
The SACCO continues to offers an opportunity for the membership majority of them being in the youthful stage to accumulate savings, access loans and invest through share subscription that offers returns annually.
In compliance with the SACCO Societies Act No. 14 2008, The SACCO is currently regulated as a Non deposit taking SACCO with effect from July 2021 thus fall under the supervision of SASRA [Sacco Regulatory Authority].
